Summer Camp Events
Friendship, camp spirit, deep-rooted tradition and continuous excitement keep our campers coming back summer after summer. We spice up our daily program with fun and exciting Special Events. These programs, along with awesome day trips out of camp, are all designed to shake up the program and maintain everyone’s enthusiasm and energy!!
Special Event Wednesdays
Every Wednesday is uniquely programmed for our entire campus. After a well-deserved later wake-up and breakfast on the campus, campers head out with their camp Big Brother or Big Sister to a special morning of electives. Lunch is a picnic and the afternoon is scheduled weekly – whether it’s a carnival or an inter-camp activity – anything goes! Dinner is our famed barbecue and then a special evening activity finishes out the day.

Great Evening Activities
Every evening at camp is filled with a fun and exciting activity. Whether it's a Saturday night show under the spotlights of our indoor Rec Hall stage or our outdoor "CAMPitheatre," a campfire with songs and stories, a party with a DJ, a game show, outdoor relays, contests or a late-night league game on one of our many lighted courts, evening activities are among the best times at Tyler Hill. And then before bedtime, campers’ days are complete as they stop with friends at our Canteen, complete with snacks, Pop-a-Shot, ping pong, pool and air hockey.
One of the highlights of a summer at Tyler Hill is our all-camp, Blue vs. White Color War. Deeply rooted in THC tradition, the highly anticipated moment at which the two teams are announced is called Break Out – and it often happens where and when our campers least expect it! Once Color War breaks, it's five straight days of competition -- and we compete in everything from spirit to sports to sportsmanship to trivia events! Color War ends as our two teams bury the hatchet with an incredible night of costumes, songs, skits and dances. Color war will be the most talked-about event of the summer as your child returns home to you and recounts his or her summer highlights.
